Wae Rebo Village & Komodo trip is a special combination tour package. This Combined Tour design to explore the most impressive nature, culture and people  and discover Komodo National Park. Wae Rebo village tour is minimum two days to take  from Labuan Bajo town, West Flores.

Wae Rebo village got an award of excellence from the UNESCO Asia-Pacific for the Culture Heritage Conservation, announced in Bangkok in 2012. Wae Rebo village is famous for its cultural site. It has seven traditional-houses which still keep its original model. Besides, the natural surroundings the village is so spectacular.

The village communities also have a strong culture and spiritual relationship with nature and ancestral spirit. The village is located on mountain with an altitude is 1.200M above sea level. It is an isolated village which is surrounded by mountain panoramic and dense jungle. Therefore, you need to be rather stronger and better stamina to trek up to Wae Rebo traditional village.

 

To visit Wae Rebo village, You will use car from Labuan Bajo town. It takes around 5-hours, driving toward Denge Village. And then, the rest of the trip will only be able to be done by trekking to the village for about 2-3hours through the jungle.

Upon your arrival at Wae Rebo village, you will see several impressive traditional-houses belongs to the Manggarai tribe of West Flores. In the village, you will also have a warm welcomed by friendly local communities of Wae Rebo who live with a full of cultural nuance. You can interact with them while sharing your life journey with them.

The Second part of the tour is a Full day Komodo trip with fast boat to visit Komodo National Park. For your reference, bellow is the general tour description, if you plan to book a tour Komodo & Wae Rebo village.

 

Day 1 : Labuan Bajo – Dintor Village – Deng Village – Wae Rebo Village (L/D)
  • Arrival aiport in morning or picking up at your hotel in Labuan Bajo, West Flores. On the way will stop at several photo spots, such Lembor village “a largest wet paddy field area in West Flores. Continue driving to Nagalili village, the south coast area. Driving a long side the coastal area which passes few view points. Continue trip to Denge via Dintor village. It takes about 5-hours total driving from Labuan Bajo to reach Denge village “a trekking start point” to Wae Rebo village. The car will drop you off at Denge village. And then, start trekking up to Wae Rebo from Denge for about 2-3hours through the jungle until you reach the impressive village of Wae Rebo. Luch will be done in local restaurant or take lunch box. Simple dinner will be served in Wae Rebo village.
  Day 2 : Wae Rebo Village – Denge Village – Dintor Village – Labuan Bajo (B/L)
  • Having simple breakfast at Wae Rebo village. Walk around the village to enjoy the Wae Rebo village, while interacting with the local community to learn about their way of life and their unique culture before leaving the village. Afterward, trekking down on the same way to get back to Denge village. Driving back at the same way to get back to Labuan Bajo. The route will be passed is Dintor village, Nagalili village, Lembor. Drop you off at your hotel in Labuan Bajo. Lunch will be included. End of Wae Rebo tour.
  Day 3 : Fullday Komodo Trip By Fastboat : PADAR ISLAND –KOMODO ISLAND – PINK BEACH – TAKA MAKASAR-MANTA POINT- KANAWA ISLAND
  • In the morning the boat will dock at Padar Island pier to enjoy the beauty of the natural panorama and sunrise over the top of Padar hill. Padar Island is one of the tourist icons in the Komodo National Park. The natural beauty and sunrise on Padar Island are always the best moment for anyone who comes. Here, you will be invited to trekking to the top of the hill on Padar Island accompanied by a ranger. For those of you who have difficulty trekking high, you can see the beauty of the island at the first point. The third point is the last spot, namely the peak of Padar Island, where you can see the expanse of the archipelago of the national park from above Padar Peak. Here you will spend time taking photos together, enjoying the sunset at all spots on Padar Island, so don’t ever miss the best moment in this place. For 1.5 hours we are on Padar Island. then you return to the boat and continue to sail towards to Komodo dragon island. Komodo island. Loh Liang, the origin and residence of the Komodo dragon varanus. You can also see Komodo dragons on Rinca Island, but for now, Rinca Island cannot be visited. So, upon arrival at the komodo island pier, you are directed to the information center for a briefing and trekking explanation to see the life of the Komodo dragon with the rangers. For approximately 1.5 hours, you will be invited to trekking to see the Komodo dragons directly and take selfies, take photos with the Komodo dragons. For information, the origins and life stories of the people of the Komodo village who l with Komodo dragons on this island are always interesting moments and stories that you will know. In this place, you can shop for Komodo dragons and other souvenirs. The rules and affirmations conveyed by the ranger while you are in the Komodo island area should be obeyed for your safety and comfort. Our party always advises you to obey and follow all instructions from the ranger.
  • Next, the boat moves to Pink beach, one of the best islands for snorkeling. The color of the sand is pink which has always been the identity of this island. If you are lucky, you will see turtles, and lots of fish in this place, also enjoying the pink beach while you are here. The pink color in the sand itself comes from the original white sand grains, mixed with dead red coral reefs. called homotrema rubrum. The pink coral flakes then mix with the sand and are blown away by the waves so that almost all the color of the sand is pink. You will do snorkeling and photo activities together. In addition, there are several local restaurants on the beach that provide a variety of local food and souvenirs. After finish all activities, we are Continue to next destination Taka Makassar Island .Taka Island, Makassar. On the boat will provide coffee tea while sailing to the island of Makassar Taka. Taka Makassar Island is also known as Pulau Sembilan. The island is very famous for the beauty of white sand that comes to the surface at low tide. This number nine beach has always been a favorite location for snorkeling, taking photos together on the beach.. Here, the ocean currents are sometimes quite heavy, therefore, our guide’s instructions are very important. For those of you who are not used to snorkeling in the open sea, you should be able to play around the beach.
  • For those who love nature, Manta Point is a perfect place to explore. It is located near to Komodo National Park.it is the location to witness a majestic sea creature, Manta Ray. Due to this reason, many tourists come here for either snorkeling or diving. Foreign travelers also often come here. Most of them are professional divers. One thing, Manta Ray is Lucky and Unlucky and can be harmful. You should keep your distance to them. Manta Point is the most strategic location to witness Manta Rays. These creatures often pass by this spot peacefully. Their size is about 3-4 meters. They can hurt you easily. Though, they swim elegantly. Actually, the sea is warm. You only need to pay attention to its underwater current. It is quite strong. For beginners, it is better to dive in with an instructor. The sea doesn’t have lots of corals, actually. That means your main attraction will be the Manta Rays. A preparation is a must. You should wear the equipment properly before diving. You should never miss the movement of those creatures. Don’t be careless in approaching them, though. They can be aggressive sometimes. The question is why these creatures gather at this point. The answer is simple. They are looking for foods, which are small jellyfishes. Then again you will be invited back to the boat to Kanawa Island. Kanawa Island is a small island located in the waters of the Komodo National Park. This island is known for its natural beauty under the sea. Various kinds of coral reefs surround this island, plus white sand with clear sea water is an attraction for tourists. On this island you will be invited to do coral snorkeling activities. The beauty of coral and marine life is very much and beautiful always attracts the attention of tourists, this is also what makes this island a favorite spot for snorkeling. Long before this island had a resort and is currently no longer activated. Every guest can play and do activities on the beach. Not only the underwater beauty is superior, there are also hills that show the beauty of Kanawa Island. The hill is in the middle of the island, you can climb it. The path is not too difficult, because on the hill there are no tall trees, only grass. There, you can capture the moment with an enchanting island background. After snorkeling, you are directed back to the boat and continue towards the city of Labuan Bajo. It is estimated that around 4pm afternoon will arrive at the Labuan port . After that we will pick up transport and will drop to your own hotel.
  Day 4 : Hotel – City Tour – Airport Departure
  • Today before we drop you to airport, our guide will escorted you to Limestone Mirror cave. Discover natural wonders on a full day of adventures during our crystal cave tour. A short trek takes you to a unique mirror cave that we call “Batu Cermin” – this spectacular limestone cave is located within a prominent rock formation near Labuan Bajo. Through a hole in the cave, rays of light cascade onto the interior walls, where they perform a spectacular show of reflected sunlight. This fascinating effect is caused by slick, mirror-like rock surfaces that reflect the light (hence the cave’s name; ‘Batu Cermin,’ which means ‘mirror rock’ in Indonesian. After that we drop you to airport for departure.
